Guild Wars 2 Beta weekend

From April 27, at noon PDT (GMT-8) to Sunday, April 29, at 11:59 p.m. PDT (GMT-8), those that have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2, will be able to login and play the game. Not only will they have access to the same content that previous testers have had access to, but they'll also be allowed to revel in the brilliantly designed Lion's Arch!

Choices, Choices – You’ll create your own personalized charr, human, or norn character and pick from our eight powerful professions. Your choice of race is vital to your personal story, and it determines in which of the huge starting areas you begin as well. A noble human mesmer will have a radically different game experience than a charr engineer in the service of the Iron Legion. Fortunately, you can roll more than one character and sample each starting area for yourself!

Worlds Collide – If you want your PvP on an epic scale, look no further than World vs. World, where three teams comprising hundreds of players wage open war across four vast maps. You’ll lay siege to castles, raid supply camps, build devastating weaponry, ambush your foes, and leap into truly massive PvP battles—all for the glory of the server. We’re warning you: WvW is so addictive that you may spend the entire Beta Weekend Event there!

PvP For You and Me – After you’ve gotten your feet wet, put your newfound skills to the test in Guild Wars 2 PvP, where small teams battle for points on a variety of challenging, compact maps. We adjust the level of PvP combatants so that all players are on equal footing. If you’ve got a competitive streak or you like playing first-person shooters online, you owe it to yourself to try out Guild Wars 2 PvP!

I Love L.A. – For the first time ever, we’re opening the metropolis of Lion’s Arch to beta players. Wander the streets of this cosmopolitan trade hub, chat with traders and travelers from every corner of Tyria, hop through one of the many asura gates to points beyond, or discover the famed diving platform at Diverse Ledges. Lion’s Arch is a city like no other!

Top 5 upcoming games in May [4/5]

The fourth game that makes us shiver of excitement!

  4. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
We'll be playing Future Soldier in near future! The fourth Ubisoft's stand-alone Ghost Recon game is coming out on May 22nd (PS3/Xbox360; 12 June for PC). The last few games received positive critics on all platforms (if we exclude GR2 and Playstation debacle), and the gameplay footage of this one looks damn positive! This time again we lead a Ghost team of 4 super futuristic high-tech geared soldiers (with awesome codenames - Kozak, Pepper, 30k, Ghost Lead), that are tasked with tracking down a dirty bomb source that has wiped out another Ghost team. In the campaign, our super soldiers will visit some more and less interesting places such as Norway, Pakistan, Nigeria and Russia (who would've guessed).
As all other GR games, this one is also a third person tactical shooter, but player can switch to a FPS camera for better aiming. Cover is of course available (and destructible), but your soldiers can be suppressed which will make shooting harder for them. Another new and interesting stuff is optical camouflage. When crouching and moving slowly, you can activate this "partial-invisibility" mode in which you and your teammates are very hard to detect. But as soon as you get off the low profile, your camouflage will deactivate and you'll become easy to notice. Marking targets will also be hugely important, as you won't micromanage your squad, but instead mark your primary enemies. You can focus fire on one enemy, but you can use synchronized shot to automatically take down up to four enemies at the same time. (Every squad member shoots one!)
Controlling drones is also an innovation, and so far some are already confirmed and seen in the gameplay footage. Drone Crawler, a small, remote-controlled flying drone that can be used for observing, and the War Hound, a heavy walking robot which can be used as portable cover.
The game just oozes creative thinking. There are so many ways of passing the mission, of using your technology, taking down enemies, etc. The graphics are nice, and as we often see in Ghost Recon games, the action takes place in the natural environment. Visually, the game looks awesome.
So, at the E3 2011. Ubisoft made GR: Future Soldier look a lot more like Call Of Duty, and we didn't want another CoD clone. But instead, they brought us something different, and it looks like it will be worth the wait!

Top 5 upcoming games in May [3/5]

After a short break, Obnoxious Insider continues to name the games that will capture the headlines. Next in line is this gem:

3. Dragon's Dogma

Capcom's action RPG is coming soon for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, so and get ready for some intense monster hunting! This is the game that has been talked about a lot in the gaming media recently, since it's beautiful aesthetics as well as attractive gameplay have massive potential to piss on everything else from this genre. I honestly shit my pants when I saw some of the gameplay footage, and I'm pretty sure most of you will at least feel a slight tingle in your belly. The game can be branded as a fusion of an open-world roaming RPGs like Elder Scrolls games and "monster hunting" RPGs like Dark Souls.

So the information is that there will be a set of classes from which you can chose one to start with: Fighter, Warrior, Mystic Knight, Strider, Ranger, Assassin, Mage, Sorcerer and Magic Archer. I am curious to see the difference between Fighter and Warrior, Ranger and Strider, Mage and Sorcerer and so on... Each of this classes makes player rely on a different tactical approach, so a fighter will use hack 'n' slash combat, with a move set similar to Capcom's Devil May Cry series, while Strider will be climbing over a large enemy (similar like in Shadow of the Colossus). I'm tempted to see try that out!

Monsters look awesome.

"Pawn" system will be implemented, which will be a set of 3 NPCs accompanying the main protagonist. A player will have to handle all four characters, but the other three will be controlled by AI. They provide an useful asset to our hero, as they shout useful hints, and are very vocal. The protagonist will bond a certain relationship with each, as every one of them will talk individually with him throughout the game.

You can see "pawns" fighting in the background

The world will be large and is compared to Oblivion so the game will be completely open for a player to explore and do side-quests. Also, the game will have continuous day-night shifts, and at night it will add a survival horror feeling, compared to Capcom's Resident Evil.

Mind = Blown

So, Capcom took a small fragment of every other game and put it into this dark, epic fantasy game. I hope Fighter will be able to use Hadouken!

PES 2013 Teaser Trailer

Konami just announced a Teaser Trailer of PES 2013.  After twelve successful years of making football(soccer) simulations, they prepare us for yet another one. Everyone is getting excited and can't wait for the next season. Even Obnoxious Insider can't wait.

Official Site

Trials Evolution

Obnoxious Insider just got to play Trials Evolution. The game uses 3d graphics, but it's played on a 2d plane, that means you can only move forward and backward. Riding a bike while encountering obstacles and random explosions, doing flips and long jumps. We say it's just pure awesomeness. Unfortunately, it's only available for Xbox 360(Xbox Live Arcade)

Single-player contains 60 tracks. You earn money and medals while completing them. You can spend your money on customizing your driver and motorcycle appearance. You can also compare the money earned, medals and other statistics with your friends on Xbox Live. Leaderboards are also included. There are several categories. While completing them, tracks get more creative and challenging. Tracks curve, making the map and driving line swerve but the controls stay the same.

Multiplayer is pretty sweet. Get 3 more friends to beat the crap out of them, at your house or over Xbox Live. Specialized tracks allow players to compete alongside one another, while in the others, player's friends appear as ghosts.

The game has a powerful editor, where players can design and share their own maps.

We'd give the game 9.3/10. The game is pretty awesome, but no game is perfect.

Dishonored - Debut Trailer

We've just saw this amazing trailer for Bethseda's upcoming release "Dishonored" and our minds = blown.
From what we managed to see in the trailer, the main protagonist is a prisoner in a steampunk-esque fictional world (wikipedia branded it neo-Victorian, which is maybe more correct) which is wrongly sentenced to death. Some mysterious man pays him a visit and grants him a "gift". Now, what is that gift? It's a fucking mark that grants you time manipulation, some kind of pressure force, superspeed... All that in a FPS perspective with stealth being the primary focus. No surprise when lead designers of the game are the two people who brought us Deus Ex, Thief: Deadly Shadows and Dark Messiah of Might And Magic - Harvey Smith and Raf Colantonio.

So, people, if you tend to overreact with epic trailers, get a tissue cause you're gonna need to wipe that semen from your underpants, and enjoy this trailer:
